VI International Conference
“Finsler Extensions of Relativity Theory”
1 – 7 November 2010
Moscow – Fryazino, Russia

BAUMAN MOSCOW STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF HYPERCOMPLEX SYSTEMS IN GEOMETRY AND PHYSICS
Non-Commercial Foundation on Research Development in the field of Finsler Geometry “FINSLER PRIZE”

Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to participate in the International Conference “Finsler Extensions of Relativity Theory” (FERT–2010) held by Bauman Moscow State Technical University and Research Institute of Hypercomplex Systems in Geometry and Physics in Moscow and Fryazino (Moscow region), Russia, on 1 – 7 November 2010.
This Conference continues the ongoing series of conferences, held every year since 2004 in Moscow and Moscow Region, Russia (2004, 2007, and 2009) and in Cairo, Egypt (2005, 2006, and 2008). The materials of these Conferences can be found on the web page:
www.hypercomplex.xpsweb.com/section.php?lang=en&genre=83

Academic Committee

Prof. Gh. Atanasiu (Transilvania University, Brasov, Romania),
Prof. V. Balan (University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania),
Prof. G.Yu. Bogoslovski (Research Institute Hyper Complex Systems in Geometry and Physics, Fryazino; D.V. Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia),
Acad. of RAS, Prof. V.G. Kadyshevsky (Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia),
Acad. of RAS, Prof. V.A. Matveev (Institute for Nuclear Research of RAS, Moscow, Russia),
Prof. A.P. Yefremov (Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Moscow, Russia)

Organizing Committee

Dr. D.G. Pavlov (Research Institute HyperComplex Systems in Geometry and Physics, Fryazino, Russia) – Chairman,
Prof. V.O. Gladyshev (Research Institute HyperComplex Systems in Geometry and Physics, Fryazino, Russia; N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia),
Dr. T.M. Gladysheva (Research Institute HyperComplex Systems in Geometry and Physics, Fryazino, Russia; N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia),
Prof. A.N. Morozov (N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia),
Prof. B.P. Nazarenko (N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia),
Dr. A.A. Eliovich (Research Institute HyperComplex Systems in Geometry and Physics, Fryazino, Russia; Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Moscow, Russia)

The main topics to be covered on FERT–2010 are the following:
1. Rashevskii’s Polymetric Geometry.
2. Linear Finsler spaces and their connection with hypercomplex numbers.
3. Poly linear symmetric forms of n vectors as Finsler extensions of the scalar product.
4. Extension of a list of the geometric invariants in Finsler spaces (polyangles) and connected with them the preferred continuous transformations and symmetries.
5. Two-, three- and four-dimensional spaces with the Berwald – Moor metrics over fields of the real and complex numbers.
6. Four-dimensional spaces with the Chernov metrics over fields of the real and complex numbers.
7. Algebraic fractals in Finsler spaces.
8. Finsler spaces with n-ary operations, n-ary groups and n-ary algebras.
9. The general philosophical and mathematical principles underlying the Finsler extensions of relativity theory.
10. Finsler extensions of Special and General Relativity Theory.
11. Experimental investigations and astrophysical observations designed to detect possible evidence for the anisotropy of real space-time.
12. Hypercomplex Numbers in Geometry and Physics

As can be seen from this list, the organizers of the Conference will devote particular (though not exclusive) attention to the geometries whose metric functions are symmetric polynomials (the Berwald–Moor and Chernov metrics). This focus is connected with the fact that the quadratic form of the space-time of Special Relativity is a symmetric polynomial dependent on four second-order variables. Today there are many results which show that applications of these metrics can lead to the appearance of intensional Finsler extensions of theories of gravity and electromagnetism. Authors of reports devoted to geometries with the metrics can be financially supported. The Organizing Committee plan to cover expenses connected with traveling, accommodation and registration fee. The Organizing Committee will take the decision after consideration of a registration form with an abstract of a report.

The accommodation for foreign participants will be in the Tourist Hotel Complex Izmailovo (3 stars): the Hotel «Beta» (www.beta-hotel.ru), the Hotel «Vega» (www.hotel-vega.ru), the Hotel «Gamma-Delta» (www.izmailovo.ru). The nearest underground station is Partizanskaya (the dark blue line in the metro map).
The opening of the Conference and the most sessions are planed to be held in Bauman University.
Russian and English languages are the working languages at the conference. The Organising Committee plans to arrange synchronic interpretation for all participants.
Official information will be placed on the websites: www.hyper-complex.ru and www.polynumbers.ru
The Organizing Committee plans to provide a cultural program including visiting museums and historical places of Moscow.
The Registration Fee is 200 EUR.

The completed Registration form together with an abstract of a talk/report (3 – 15 lines) submitted by the participant should be e-mailed till 30 September 2010 to the secretary Gladysheva Tatyana on the following address: vgladyshev@mail.ru

Respectfully yours,
Dr. Dmitri Pavlov
